What differentiates BetterCloud from other similar products?

What made BetterCloud a unique fit for me came down to how deep it goes into SaaS behavior rather than surface level posture. In a travel business, everything lives in Google Workspace, Okta, Salesforce, and a long tail of booking tools. BetterCloud let me see risky user actions across those apps in one place. I used it heavily during a contractor offboarding exercise.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The features I keep coming back to are the custom workflows and event driven alerts. I built a workflow that automatically suspends Google Drive sharing when someone tries to expose itinerary folders externally. That saved us during a phishing incident tied to fake airline vouchers. The SaaS to SaaS visibility is also solid.

What do you dislike most about this product?

What could get better is the depth of API coverage for smaller niche travel platforms. Some of our regional booking partners use tools like TravelPerk add ons that only expose partial telemetry.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

My recommendation is to use BetterCloud if SaaS sprawl is your main attack surface. Especially if your business lives inside Google Workspace and identity providers. It shines when you invest time in building opinionated workflows.

BetterCloud stands out because it lets you take action automatically. The depth of its workflows and integrations, especially with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, makes it feel more like an extension of your IT team than a reporting tool.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I’d recommend being clear about your use cases upfront, especially around automation and lifecycle management, since that’s where BetterCloud delivers the most value. Plan time for proper setup and training, and make sure you’ll use enough workflows and integrations to justify the cost—otherwise a lighter SaaS management tool may be sufficient.

What differentiates BetterCloud from other similar products?

BetterCloud is extremely simple to set up and use, and has native integration with a lot of SaaS apps. The functionality with some of the native integrations is limited though and workflows are slowly getting better, but need more work. It's nice to be able to automate some user lifecycle management tasks within a SaaS based no-code platform.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The workflows and how powerful they can be when done right.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Two separate consoles and slow development in the right areas.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend this for an SMB that doesn't have a solution for onboarding, offboarding and mid user lifecycle management, but be weary of the price tag.
