What differentiates Azure DevOps from other similar products?

1. end to end integration services 2. scalable and flexible for small and medium teams 3. Provides robust security features

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It has to be Azure pipelines, helped me to build many CI/CD automations for business solutions very easily. And YAML based configuration is so easy to develop and monitor.

1. A little difficult to learn all services at start , so there is a learning curve 2. User Interface is not user friendly at some services, had to search for answers all the time during the initial phase

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If your organization setup is already on Azure then definitely utilize the Azure DevOps services as Azure provides many native service integration features.

A very useful tool to manage entire SDLC

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Azure DevOps from other similar products?

The ability to handle Backlogs, Code, Deployment and Testing all in one place without having to navigate to other tools makes things a lot easier. The item linking is amazing which helps keep track of all possible types of relations between different items including code changes.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Seamless flow from Story to Deployment using CI/CD pipeline

What do you dislike most about this product?

Non-PDF attachments should be downloaded instead of having an embedded reader. Also, I think the Wiki features are not very user friendly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I suggest using Azure DevOps for SDLC management, especially for small teams and start-ups as this provides a single stop with reasonable pricing for a professional workstream management.

Pros

  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
