What differentiates Zoom Workplace from other similar products?

While our customer service teams replaced our phone system with Zoom to provide an ease of use and a reliable connection when working remotely, our marketing team started using Zoom for webinars and cross-departmental meetings. This decision replaced a web of internal resources that became quickly outdated and unreliable during the pandemic. We found Zoom to be easy to roll out to multiple teams and a benefit to our customers because of the quick access to recordings provided. The app integrations provided allow for each team member to build in their own work process, as well.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Zoom is intuitive and easy to personalize. I can build in multiple app integrations according to my use case (Slack and Wrike are at the top of my list!), and the recordings are available quickly after each meeting. For market research, I can access these recordings easily to create transcripts when running virtual focus groups or in-depth interviews. I also enjoy changing up the background in meetings—doing so provides me with the ability to keep my presence consistent no matter where I'm working from.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There's very little to dislike, and a lot to explore. I have not yet tried the whiteboard feature or tested the translate captions option, but I do know that those exist and are accessible quickly from my Zoom meeting. The only stumbling block I've found is scheduling meetings on Google Calendar with a Zoom meeting. However, I'm quite sure that there is an integration that exists that I do not know about.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

When rolling out this product, it was essential that all of our departments were on board and willing to make this changeover. It was quite a commitment for our company since this changed the methodology of our customer service, and it was important that we established this tool without any disruption to our service. It was very helpful to have internal resources created for teams to reference during our initial rollout. So, for anyone who is considering this product, I highly suggest collaborating on internal processes first.
