What differentiates ThreatLocker from other similar products?
It's comprehensive way to customize the policies in the system makes it a great feature of the product.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The logo design, and the sales process was actually quite pleasant.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The functionality and the technical software design of how unfriendly it is to busy MSP.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Cyberfox is probably easier to put it in place and faster.

Great product that gives great piece of mind

What differentiates ThreatLocker from other similar products?
They really do care about their clients - product manager had a look at our configuration to make sure nothing was out of whack while I was on a call with them without any prompting. Solid product and interface and capability improvements have been huge.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Piece of mind!
What do you dislike most about this product?
Can sometimes be annoying to customers if you've not set your learning phase up right and they get hit with repeated blocks.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Make sure you use the learning phase, and inform your customers what to expect to see.

What differentiates ThreatLocker from other similar products?
ThreatLocker's approach to application control is great. Instead of mainly relying on detecting known threats, it uses a deny-by-default model where only approved applications are allowed to run. The combination of allowlisting and Ringfencing gives us more control over what applications can do once they are running.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favourite part is the level of control it provides over applications and user privileges. It gives a clear view of what is running and allows specific applications to be approved or restricted without giving user unnecessary administrator access. This makes endpoint security easy to manage.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I haven't experienced any major issues with ThreatLocker. The initial policy configuration ca require some Attention, particularly when deciding which applications and activities should be allowed,but once the environment is properly configured,it becomes easier to manage.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Go for it. ThreatLocker is good for organizations that want tighter control over applications, endpoint and user privileges. It's worth spending some time understanding you existing application and creating the right policies before rolling it out widely. The learning and allowlisting capabilities can help make the transition smoother.
