Simplified communication.

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

The seamlessness with which Slack connects with other apps I use, is what I perceive to be the most important point of differential between Slack and other messaging services. In the case of my team, we have utilized this strong area of Slack to create automation of small, repetitive tasks in day to day departmental and team operations, thereby expanding on the default capabilities of the Slack platform.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Knowing how disorganized conversations via chatting can be, especially within an office environment, I love how Slack organizes my conversations into different channels, making it convenient to keep track of past conversations . The threaded nature of conversations on Slack, its flawless file sharing functionality are other aspects of my Slack experience, which I have come to really cherish.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The major challenge I have got with Slack is mainly around notification management and the potential for distractions. Although, I have found the ' do not disturb ' mode to be helpful for reducing potential distractions, as a result of constant notifications to a large extent , it is still not the perfect solution as of now.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Workflow management and enhanced productivity are some of the key benefits, which comes with Slack.

Pros

  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Enables Productivity
