What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

Slack is a more relaxed approach to office communication. Absolutely loved using it with it's various emoticons and symbols which could be used internally within the app. The general use of this app is more like using an instant messenger than an office tool, which is rather refreshing.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The various emoticons that are available to the end user is nearly endless! Makes for some great laughs when communicating internally!

What do you dislike most about this product?

The customization possibilities of the display were a bit limited for my taste. Though the "night mode" display option was quite useful, if not a bit strange with the color combination used. But either way, the functionality outweighs the lack of customization for the display which is too ingrained in individual themes rather than full customization. Also the bot is a bit of a chore.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you want something that is great for communication but isn't all corporate in appearance, this would be your app! Great functionality, lots of emoticons, fast communication! Loved it! The programmable responses for the bot are an interesting approach, though can be a bit of a bother. Overall this is a good application for just about anyone to use!

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

We were using Teams before, but we found Slack's capabilities and user interface more appealing, so we switched. With direct service integration, we can send notifications to slack if certain conditions are met, such as a server being down or bandwidth being exhausted. We can have asynchronous conversations with the aid of Slack.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The ability to incorporate Slack into other systems is the feature I find most useful. It's useful for both hybrid and fully remote workplaces since it functions as chat software in real-time and asynchronous. I also like the ability to set a reminder to return to a particular subject or ping a specific person later. Slack's plethora of add-ons, features, and integrations have made it possible for me and my coworkers to work collaboratively from anywhere in the world while maintaining clear and compelling lines of communication. It's terrific that you have a secure means of communicating with colleagues from different companies.

What do you dislike most about this product?

In my experience, the UI of Slack is not very user-friendly for first-time users, and it took me a few weeks to learn the meaning of some terminology. Results from online searches can be murky at times. It can get pretty loud if you have a lot of alerts going on.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Slack is our primary method of internal and external communication at my company. We can discuss technical issues and, as necessary, offer screenshots or videos to illustrate our points. If you have tried various IM options but are still having trouble with email, you should give Slack a go, there are many features to explore.

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

With shared Slack channels, we have experienced better collaboration across departments so we solve customer incidents faster. Slack reminds me of all the things I should be doing in the next 24 hours and helps make sure my team is working towards end goals.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

This is a workspace that people can jump in and out of as needed, and it is easy to run a quick search on Slack Workspace. Each team has a channel, cross-functional teams have channels organized by project, and channels for weekly or monthly company reporting

What do you dislike most about this product?

Everything including coordinating a recent media campaign aimed at delighting our campaigns happens in Slack so there are too much notifications that can disrupt normal working

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

With Slack, files and conversations exist side by side so every member of the team has access to the most up-to-date information. Slack is also a faster way for organisations to work with their partners and customers
