So easy to use

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

The channels, mentions and ability to connect the program with other work tools

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It's flexibility, ease of use and integrations available

What do you dislike most about this product?

The price, it has some nice features on top of Google chat that we used to use. However, the price is additional to our Google Suite so it drives up cost with only slight differentiation.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Look at your budget and feature needs. If there are some mission critical features, the cost it worth it.

Essential for working from home!

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

I don't know of any other communication platforms come close to slack. It's widely known as the main platform for this kind of thing and incredible intuitive/user friendly. It's also acted as a dependable storage center for files that may have been lost through out the years. Having the desktop and mobile app has also been essential.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love that it is an easy way for different teams to work together on projects. Our company is fully remote so slack is basically our digital office. It acts as a hub for collaboration across different teams, projects, and initiatives. It's also acted as intuitive file storage — I love that I. can look for a file that I know was sent to/from a specific person, team, or project and quickly find it.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The notification and chat organization can get confusing. It would be helpful if there was a more intuitive way to adjust notifications for all of the channels at the same time. At the moment I'm just dealing with messy notifications on things bc I don't want to deal with figuring out how to fix it.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend that they create channels for the teams and projects at their company to keep the conversations organized. I'd also tell them it's an amazing product and 100% needed in an office or remote work setting.

Pros

  • Reliable
  • Efficient Service
  • Effective Service

Slack sets the standard for work communication too

Likeliness to Recommend

8 /10

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

I think Slack focuses mainly on making conversations very simplistic. As a Slack user , the key differences I can point to between Slack and similar software programs I have used before now, is how Slack simply let me communicate with my team without distracting me with unnecessary bells and whistles, in the name of features.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Integration with many critical applications used on a daily, in my company. Relying on this important Slack quality, I have found myself making use of third party software applications within the Slack interface. Seamless integration doesn't get better than that.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Slack has an audio/video call provision. However, they are seldom used due to the subpar quality. In my view, this is a major area where Slack falls short.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I do not think there is a better way to connect teams , departments etc on a go besides Slack.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
