What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

The user interface is smooth. There is a good security aspect The whole process for a new user is very friendly.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The quick huddle feature which lets me talk to someone very fast.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The fact that adding people to a group can be confusing. There is a main search option and then another where you just add people to the group. This is very confusing.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take some basic training. Once you get used to this, you won't like any other software.

  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Enables Productivity

Good communication with visibility and operability

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

A closed chat tool. Even those who touch the tools for the first time can work intuitively without detailed explanations. Uploaded photo data can be sent as is, so I use it to transfer to a cell phone. In business mail, there is no address, greeting, name, content and closing greeting, and you can talk as if it is in the chat column, saving time.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

After using several communication tools in the company, I ended up with this tool and have been using it for a long time. At first, the introductory price of this tool was also a bottleneck. Emoticons are highly customizable, which contributes to the company's culture. Our company frequently uses seals that mimic our company's mission and values. In addition, it is convenient to work with a wide range of tools. The thread and channel functions contribute to smooth communication within the company, and the linking process with external software is also convenient.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is nothing special about it. However, if you force it, you will get the impression that it is disorganized and messy. Nothing really wrong with that, once you get used to the way things work.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

We use it mainly for internal communication. We can communicate seamlessly by using thread and channel functions. There is a limit to data before 90 days, so you cannot see the chat, so if you are okay with that, you can start using it for free.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing

You can consult previous mentions

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

Compared to Chatwork, it has a reminder function, and since it can reveal past mentions (those marked as read), it is good that you rarely miss a request or task. The feature that allows you to log related pages at the top of the channel is convenient.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

As an end user, I don't know the business issues and the effects of the introduction. Still, compared to the Cisco Webex I used before, every feature was implemented ahead of time, and I want to implement that Slack feature in Webex. There is a menu where you can review all messages that have been addressed to you at once, so by checking periodically, it is convenient you can discover messages that you have unconsciously read and forgotten.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Cannot use @channel within a thread. Cannot edit attachments (re-attach files by editing comments)

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

You can initiate a call and communicate with several people channel by channel. There is also a screen-sharing function, which is very useful when you do MTG in an emergency. You can set reminders for messages and select reminder schedule dates in detail, so it is convenient and helps to reduce forgetting tasks. In addition, you can choose to complete or postpone the reminder notification, so you can reduce the amount of missed reminder notifications.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
