Channeling communications in Style

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

Well, there isn't much that drastically sets Slack apart from other collaboration tools, but looking at how smooth its integrations are, that would have to be the differentiator.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Slack's channels are absolute incredible since they make communication organized and dynamic. It’s like having different rooms for different discussions

What do you dislike most about this product?

If there's one thing that irks me, it's the lack of a robust threading system. Sometimes conversations can get overwhelming, and having a better way to follow specific threads would enhance the user experience.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If Slack is a fit for your organization, then do invest some time in setting up channels and educating your team on how to make the most of it

Pros

  • Continually Improving Product
  • Unique Features
  • Efficient Service
  • Client Friendly Policies

The best messaging tool on the market

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

It is clean and easy to use. Google chat, who we used previously, is clunky and not good UX, whereas Slack is just brilliant.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The changes and enhancements made by Slack are genuine improvements, and not just updates for the sale of it. Example 1, huddles. What a great improvement

What do you dislike most about this product?

It’s more pricey than most others on the market, that is the only criticism I have of it.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Just go for it, you won’t regret it.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing

A pleasure to use and administrate

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

I most value Slack's breadth of features and its ease of integration with other products. I think that, for what I care about, other products have substantially similar offerings, but I think Slack offers the most coherent package.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

This may sound a bit vague, but I think it comes down to Slack's ease of use as well as its "familiarity." Slack has come closer to supplanting email than any similar product I've used. I also find the process of setting up and deploying Slack apps to be much more enjoyable than, say, what I've tried to do with Teams in previous lives.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I feel like Slack's file sharing capabilities could be improved upon.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Modifying this question just slightly, I'd rather advise someone not considering Slack to reconsider it as an option. It's a great product and it is worthy of consideration almost regardless of your overall stack.

Pros

  • Enables Productivity
  • Helps Innovate
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing

Cons

  • Vendor Friendly Policies
  • Vendor's Interest First
  • Less Generous
