I think the fact that slack is highly customizable makes it stand out from its contemporaries. As someone who has used slack and one of its competitors, I am convinced slack's UX is unparalleled

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love the look of the application, it makes me wanna spend more and more time on it. I am a Slack fan despite some of its flaws, slack does most things right. The other feature i love is the GIF and reaction emojis, it adds quirks to your chat. love it!!

What do you dislike most about this product?

Huddle does not work well, it lags sometimes, zoom integration - would prefer an in-built video conferencing

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Any biz of any size that involves humans should get Slack, more so if you have remote/hybrid employees, it helps in keeping the team connected. The investment to implement is a no brainer

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?

A few things differentiate Slack from every other team collaboration and communication tool that I know about . Slack provides extensive integrations that makes it possible to automate day to day activities within a team and also expand the default capabilities of the Slack platform. Then , there is its set of comprehensive communication and collaboration features like file sharing , thread based conversations and channels, which makes everyone within a team , department or company only a message away from the other.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Slack recently introduced the "save later" feature for messages and files. Personally, I have found this feature extremely helpful to me for setting a reminder for myself to come back to view a message or a file at a future time. This way, I get notified to check-out the messages or file at the specified later time. I am of the opinion that the above has kept my Slack experience, a lot more organized.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I have no major dislike towards this product. However, I will like to have more control over how and when I receive notifications on my Slack app. Due to the volume of Slack users in my company, it is easy to be overwhelmed by the number of notifications and even miss out on important notifications in the process. If there was a way to decide the type of notifications I receive or group them in order of importance, the chances of missing out on important notifications will be greatly reduced .

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I always advocate for companies or departments seeking to adopt the Slack software or any other software for that matter, to compare and contrast the value Slack offers them ,with their immediate communication needs.
