What differentiates Planview Enterprise Architecture from other similar products?

Planview a Strategic involved business owners from the beginning by asking questions related to their issues, painpoints, requirements by shortlisting questions that management wanted PlanView to focus on while helping us pilot the tool. This is a very unique approach which other EA tools don't provide. Once you shortlist the questions, it mapped those to the list of artifacts that we must create for enterprise decision making, and the data that needs to be collected to facilitate artifacts creation. This top-down approach prooved best and involved business, IT and operations at all stages of the pilot process to select and approve the tool.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Visuals, developing relationships in the excel and importing to auto-generate artifacts.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Customization and change of metamodel needed us to involve PlanView technical team which was not easy to schedule time with. Also integration with other visual tools is not straightforward.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Today there are other products like Orbus, MEGA in addition to Planview. Do shortlist based on what problem your oganization is trying to solve? Select the tool based on what matters most to you.

Planview Enterprise One provides the power to possess one integrated tool that enables you to manage your business from strategy through post-implementation. In addition, it provides reportage and dashboards capabilities that assist management with the info and agility to with success manage the business and be competitive within the market. Planview provides my team with a platform that’s intuitive to manage and organize tasks and projects effectively. It helps us to prioritize our activities, to plan, take into account time and incidents, and figure out while continuing to move forward in the fulfillment of the actions set out.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

A versatile tool for working at altogether levels of team working – an inclusive tool to cover all aspects of project management together with plans, baseline, resources, risks, and financial planning – easy to use and easy interface. Planview provides you an opportunity to deal with any task and assets unequivocally. One can without a lot of a stretch see that individual is taking a shot at which venture, what’s the cluster structure, and what are the objectives and their due dates. What I loved most is that I don’t have to be compelled to trust that seniors can discover whom to contact.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Overcomplex in work management particularly scheduling. Action item tracking at a granular level. Lessons learned aren’t structured on industry best practices to collate and leverage information for the future. Reportage through SSRS is restrictive.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Planview could be a distinctive tool that provides everything that works teams have to be compelled to organize their activities and move forward with firm steps toward meeting every project’s objectives.

What differentiates Planview Enterprise Architecture from other similar products?

Planview Enterprise has become an invaluable resource in our project management. Personally, I have really enjoyed having an environment where I can connect and collaborate with my colleagues, complete tasks and move our projects forward to success, one after the other. We are always staying productive since Planview has been part of our work.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is used especially in the planning and management of our marketing projects and its performance has been exceptional. The user interface is quite organized, in terms of usability it is quite simple. I love that it is so flexible and how much it helps us to foster collaboration between teammates to move forward in sync on projects.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The only drawback I have had with this tool is that I have not been able to integrate it into our Salesforce, it would make the job easier.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It works quite well, the interface design is attractive and does not interfere with the performance of computers because of how light and undemanding it is. Excellent for managing projects and keeping teams productive.
