Solid file sharing and collaboration tool.

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
Our organization uses SharePoint for team documentation and file sharing. While other Microsoft products cover what SharePoint offers, SharePoint pulls things together in an orderly form that provides a good "source of truth" for files relevant to team policies and practices. We effortlessly link all of our personnel in various states and have consolidated information that is available to everyone.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I enjoy how Microsoft SharePoint provides so many tools for all of your everyday work needs. It's fantastic that you may modify your design to add exactly what you want in all the correct locations. SharePoint serves as a central location for work groups and teams to share and collaborate. While OneDrive and other file sharing services work well, SharePoint groups and spaces provide a more structured and rich experience for teams working together and exchanging comments and ideas alongside the files itself. The application is extremely simple to use when it comes to recording team practices and policies.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I don't enjoy getting confused between the several functionalities. I can't simply return to other regions without starting from the beginning. It might be perplexing for novice users or those who are not tech savvy. While SharePoint is a helpful tool, everything it does is covered by other Microsoft products, therefore its utility as a standalone program is debatable unless it is already included in your Microsoft commercial package.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Take the time to teach your personnel how to use the navigation system. If your Microsoft Business Suite includes SharePoint, it may be a great tool for team communication and file sharing, particularly for team processes and policies. If it isn't included, you should consider if it makes sense to purchase it separately, as practically all of its functionality are provided by other Microsoft products, specifically OneDrive for Business.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity

Fast and secure way to distribute information.

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
We required an online platform to operate remotely while always having the most recent versions of the files available. No work or checklists are lost in email while using Sharepoint. We can also add comments that are accessible to all team members and inform them when an issue need immediate attention. We have a location where we may get the most recent spreadsheets. We may also instantly examine our team schedule, current personnel biographies, and any items that may be of interest to the group.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I appreciate that I was able to study SharePoint on my own and that I was able to easily put up my own group site. It was complex enough to provide numerous possibilities for sharing different sorts of information, yet simple enough for someone to learn as they went. Integration of SharePoint desktop with our PCs. It transforms Sharepoint into a map on your computer, much as the Documents folder. It also allows you to work offline, and synchronization will resume when you reconnect to Wi-Fi.
What do you dislike most about this product?
When it comes to connectivity with Microsoft 365, certain functions might have been simplified. When I added a Word or Excel document to the "embedding the code" page, for example, I immediately realized that the code was only available through the sharing option in the online versions of those applications, not the standalone copies. If you need to deal with a lot of huge files, I recommend installing Sharepoint on your desktop as soon as feasible. Sharepoint does not support all of the capabilities of Microsoft products, such as Excel. You may open the file outside of Sharepoint and it will sync any changes you make.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Companies who have been using Sharepoint for a long time may still be utilizing the old UI. Remember this while asking for or reading reviews. The redesigned UI provides additional picture upload choices and streamlines menu navigation.

Collaboration platform for business documents.

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
I like being able to link to resources outside of my organization and the accountability of being able to track when files were uploaded and changed. The ability to decide whether or not to allow someone to alter or change a document before delivering it to them is what I value.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
After the pandemic, I discovered Microsoft Share Point, which has allowed me to communicate with others wherever they may be. With all the information at our fingertips, we can work more efficiently, quickly, and safely. It is easy to deploy as well as use. Updates, team communication, and simultaneous document access should all be provided. This is pertinent and great for limiting what your audience can see and do, for instance, when you need someone to continuously view modifications to a "live document" without having the opportunity to get involved in the process.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The administrators are informed of impending changes in emails that are written with an IT audience in mind. They are challenging to comprehend for a small business that might not have the personnel with that knowledge or experience. The user interface can occasionally be annoying. I probably don't utilize this more often because the screen real space is inefficient as a tool for business.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I've been using SharePoint for the past two years, and it's a fantastic tool for information management. My data is stored in the cloud, which is one of the amazing features I appreciate the most because we can surely access it from mobile devices and desktops or workspaces. Additionally, we can use SharePoint to continue working on a comparable document.
