What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?

We upload all our documentation on sharepoint. Knowledge management is the core value of our company. We believe in continuous learning and all our documents are available here. Each employee is encouraged to come up with new documentation and this is part of the employee appraisal. There is no need to reinvent the wheel when most of the best practices are already figured out. Sharepoint saves us lots of effort and time.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is easy to search and find the documents. The product is tightly integrated with Teams where we collaborate.

What do you dislike most about this product?

None as of now.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

A must have product. All documents related to software development life cycle can be uploaded here and the team can colloborate. It is a no brainer to implement this product. It pays for itself in less than a year. It saves realestate cost as well, as all the documents can stored here and there is no need to have big file cabinets in the office occupying space.

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?

Office365 licenses, allows the IT area to have better management, innovative collaborative functions, adaptable and scalable; being able to be useful for small and large companies, large amounts of documents can be uploaded, easy integration, much more space for storage, all the necessary cooperative tools.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It allows me to manage, centralize and share content and documentation in the most agile and professional, but above all, practical way. With SharePoint we can quickly upload our documents and have an easy search of them later. Another great advantage is that we can work on a document at the same time and the members of the company have access to all the content. Access from any device. Colleagues are kept up to date with publications made on the platform and it is also useful for sharing resources and information that other groups can also access. It can be used to create all kinds of databases.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I haven't really had any problems with SharePoint, but there is something that bothers me a bit and that is the synchronization between files, sometimes it is very slow.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If in addition to security and file storage you are also looking to collaborate in the same place, this software meets the necessary functions to do so. A learning curve is necessary, but it is less complicated than it seems, the intuitive interface makes it easier.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

As a collaborative environment server is excellent, it is highly configurable and we can manage our documents securely and efficiently, storing and sharing them. My favorite features are: Simplified navigation and commands. What do you dislike most about this product?

These are minor inconveniences I might add, such as delays when editing a document within Sharepoint. Its overall performance is good.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is a worthwhile software that helps to protect and share information between teams while maintaining productivity and promoting collaboration between workers. I recommend it. There is a learning curve if you are not familiar with this type of tool, but if you have used an ECM in the past it is no problem.
