What differentiates Matomo from other similar products?

What really sets Matomo apart from other analytics tools is its strong focus on data privacy and ownership. Unlike many other platforms, Matomo gives you full control over your data—nothing is shared with third parties. It's also highly customizable and flexible, especially if you're using the self-hosted version. Plus, there are no data sampling issues, so you get accurate insights. For us, the combination of privacy, transparency, and control made it stand out.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What I love most about Matomo is having full control over our data. It’s private, secure, and the dashboard is super easy to use.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The setup can be a bit technical at first, especially if you’re self-hosting. It takes a little time to get everything running smoothly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take the time to explore the self-hosted option if data privacy is important to you. Make sure you have some tech support for the setup—it’s worth it in the long run.

it sucks in almost every aspect and google analytics does it better

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

data is hosted in europe and form conversion feature looks nice.

What do you dislike most about this product?

everything but mostly reports, the creation of the reports and visualisation is bad

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

not recommended. i can only recommend in regards to security but the rest is not good
