IBM Maximo stands out because it's really good at managing all kinds of assets, from equipment to facilities. It's flexible, so it works for small businesses and big companies alike, and you can customize it to fit your specific needs. One cool thing is it can predict when equipment might break down, so you can fix it before it causes problems. Plus, it connects easily with other systems you might use, like your accounting or customer service software. And if you need help, IBM offers great support and services to make sure you get the most out of Maximo.

What differentiates IBM Maximo IT from other similar products?

It gives unified visibility over hardware/software assets and service workflows like incident, change and problem management all backed by a common data model and CMDB. This integrated view reduces data silos and makes cross team collaboration far easier.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I really like that i don't just see a ticket or an asset in isolation. If a server keeps causing incidents I can trace it back to its lifecycle, warranty, usage history and even replacement planning all in the same system.

What do you dislike most about this product?

New users usually need proper training before using it, which can slow things down at the start.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Be ready to invest time in setup, training and process design to get real value from it. If your needs are simple, a lighter tool might be easier and more cost effective.
