What differentiates Google Meet from other similar products?

it’s better because it is integrated with the ecosystem. when i share a doc on a meet call myself, everyone has access like snap.” there’s no fussing with permissions. it’s an extension of my office, not just a phone call. it’s fantastic for teams that really need to get work together while they chat.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

the gesture of raising your hand is distinct and does not create noise. also — i love the “tiled” view where i can see as many as 49 folks at one time. it gives it more of a community feeling. the background designs also are fun without being overly unprofessional. It’s a really nice piece of software that walks the line for business.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Some of our larger training events have 100 attendees But we are just shy of the full CTA benefits because 100 is really pushing it for our standard plan. i also think the settings menu is tipped away a little too far. That’s all fine — but then you want to switch to your microphone?

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

and you’re one of those people who are trying to find ways that remote work can feel more connected, this is a great option. it’s designed to enable collaboration, not just conversation.

My favorite aspect of Google Meet is its simplicity—it just works. Joining meetings is quick, the interface is clean, and it integrates smoothly with Gmail and Calendar, making everyday collaboration effortless.

I dislike most about Google Meet is its limited advanced features compared to some competitors, especially for large meetings or webinars.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you’re considering Google Meet, first think about how you already use other Google tools—if you’re in the Google ecosystem, it’s a great choice because scheduling and joining meetings is seamless.

Integrates with other Google ecosystem. It only makes sense if used because it is not intuitive compared to competitor products like Teams.

Basic features are hidden away - like the chat and it’s hard to tell whether the camera is on whilst the screen is shared
