What differentiates Google Meet from other similar products?
The setting is set up in a few minutes, and you're ready to go, as with other Google goods. We utilize the tool throughout the firm and are quite happy with the connection's ease and stability. The tool is updated on a regular basis, including individualized backdrops that I enjoy. It's something we use on a regular basis, primarily for all of our internal and external calls. Many are in huge groups (up to 50 persons) and in different time zones. The communication is smooth and has a low latency. In comparison to other similar applications, it also boasts excellent audio quality.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
We use Google Hangouts to conduct virtual meetings from our home office. We hold business discussions amongst teams here in addition to daily meetings. The technology is also used for virtual presentations. I can also simply invite external partners to an appointment, which is very useful when working from home because I don't want to use my personal cell phone. Because I also use Google Calendar, organizing meetings with coworkers is a breeze; I can even check what time slots are open. You can also dial using your cell phone if you are on the go and don't have access to your laptop.
What do you dislike most about this product?
On mobile devices (laptops), browser performance is resource-intensive, consuming a lot of battery power. As a result, mobile use is limited on certain devices. The licensing process has become rather complicated, and some useful extra features are only available in specific product editions. As a result, it's quite complicated. New functions are also added on a regular basis, well tested, and only available in the top product variant. Users are perplexed by this. Due to the product's simplicity, several more specialist functionalities are not available. In a Hangout, for example, only the meeting's creator can submit polls.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I find Google Meet to be really reliable, and I've never had a connectivity issue using it. It's also very simple to share the screen, type in the conversation, and invite others to the date. It comes highly recommended from me! Even though the entire team had to go to the head office on short notice, we were able to keep them productive. Because of the strong integration with Google Calendar and GSuite, all staff now use Google Meets instead of Skype and other similar services. It's best to have the same room every day for routine appointments. Presentations, workshops and training courses are all made easier with the screen sharing features
