Anyone can use it for free. Best thing with Google meet is it is very easy to use and does not require any installation

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It integrates well with other applications in Google workspace which makes it easier to manage calendar and perform other tasks

What do you dislike most about this product?

The screen share feature should be corrected. It creates multiple boxes if we are on video call and try to screenshare.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are already in Google workspace, google meet is the best option. It is a simple application meant for taking meeting and simple collaborations and not meant for deep collaboration like Teams or other competitors.

I like very sparse software and that is precisely what google meet is. It is the best because it does not have a bunch of annoying features that no one will ever use. It is simply a way of a high quality image and sound which is all you need in order to have a good meeting. Compared to the cluttered mess of microsoft teams it is a fresh breath to my desktop.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The option to blur the background is very easy to use and it can look professional instead of being funny. The fact that requires the icons of muting and turning off the camera to be large and easy to locate even in a crisis state allows one to work in that particular window effectively.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It does dox a bit of data-hogging when on a metered connection. I would like to see some more obvious low data setting, on the occasions when i am travelling.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Assuming that you enjoy clean and uncomplicated tools which perform a single task perfectly well, then you will enjoy google meet, which is the best minimalist video tool available.

What differentiates Google Meet from other similar products?

While zoom is more a social media platform nowadays, google meet is still much about being a utility. Better in the sense of being included in the browser. No waiting for updates to install just when your meeting is supposed to start. Security wise it is also top tier as it uses the same infrastructure like gmail, so much more secure for sensitive company discussions.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The best part is the companion mode which is great when i am in a conference room but want to use my laptop for chat and polls. The background blur and virtual backgrounds are very professional and don't glitch out around my hair like other apps do. I also really appreciate the white boarding integration with jamboard. It makes brainstorming sessions feel way more interactive and productive than just staring at a screen of faces.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I dislike recording being locked behind the paid more expensive plans. It is a basic necessity that should be available to everyone. Also chat history disappears once you end the call and that is annoying.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This is the most reliable video conferencing software for modern teams. I highly recommend this if you are tired of technical difficulties, and want a seamless experience.
