Disappoints compared to main competitors.

Likeliness to Recommend

5 /10

What differentiates Google Meet from other similar products?

Design and Google services integration.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The design of the product.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Frequent lag and freezing resulting in unstable meetings. Not reliable for large scale meetings. Poor cross-browser support (it looked like Meet only ever worked perfectly on Google Chrome, forcing you to use a browser you might not want to use).

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

To be fair, at this moment I think the main competitors offer a more stable, usable product that is on pair in terms of features, if not better. Main reason to go with Meet is if your team is already well integrated in the Google ecosystem.

Pros

  • Includes Product Enhancements
  • Helps Innovate
  • Unique Features
  • Security Protects

Cons

  • Less Reliable
  • Slower Product Innovation
  • Less Performance Enhancing

Easy program for software events

Likeliness to Recommend

8 /10

What differentiates Google Meet from other similar products?

I think the main difference is the quality of connection stability that no other software shares

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

We hold lectures every week as an part of educational organization software, and before the lectures, we have to prepare the team and organize ourselves, and the best way to do that is by using the Google Hangout Meet app, which can provide a quick, simple, and easy way of communication between team members/event organizers. And you rely on Google Hangout Meet for more than just quick meetings; we sometimes use it as the primary platform for lectures.

What do you dislike most about this product?

so far there is nothing that displeases me so that I will not continue using it in the future

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

to try the basic versions first to find out if it is what you need to later update according to the requirements of your organization

Pros

  • Continually Improving Product
  • Inspires Innovation
  • Security Protects
  • Helps Innovate

Not On Par With Zoom, But Free with Workspace

Likeliness to Recommend

7 /10

What differentiates Google Meet from other similar products?

Google Meet is great for organizations deeply embedded within the Google ecosystem, such as Workspace and Enterprise users. From a business standpoint, I can't really imagine using Meet unless the company uses GMail and the broader GSuite. It is not highly differentiated, it works

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Meet is integrated very will within the GSuite and it's very simple to hop on calls at a moment's notice. Integrates well with GMail and one-click calls for users within the company. The price is great at no additional cost. Very hard to complain about a product that doesn't cost the company anything additional, if already integrated with GSuite.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Google Meet is not great for external use, as we had many cases where clients or vendors, for instance, were thrown off by the Meet call and felt odd about it. The presumption across the business world appears to be that video calls are done on Zoom. Zoom is, in my opinion, a superior product, hence the far broader adoption. Meet also generally just has lower video quality, though the audio is quite comparable to Zoom. Meeting recording is sorely underserved - doing this in Zoom is such a better benefit.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I can't recommend that your business uses Google Meet unless already within the GSuite ecosystem. Microsoft Teams is basically just as good (though also dependent on an ecosystem), and Zoom is better across the board for any company. Zoom is much more expensive though, so cost conscious companies using Google already may find Meet more than adequate.

Pros

  • Continually Improving Product
  • Trustworthy
  • Unique Features
  • Efficient Service
