What differentiates GitLab from other similar products?

Gitlab provides cheaper alternative for users to have in place of github and jenkins. Have to do very less configuration than jenkins so very convienent to use. I used gitlab with OpenId Connect for Aws authentication and also did the same work with jenkins but it was way more difficult with jenkins. Gitlab also provided documention regarding that and I was able to do it with very little configiration.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I loved the user interface of Gitlab and the fact that is offers more features at very cheap rate. Gitlab provides their own runners therefore it is very convienent to use. Interface is very good and easy to understand comparitive to its counterpart jenkins. In gitlab pipeline runs automatically if we use a specific keyword but in jenkins we have to do so much configuration.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The amount of gitlab i have used i did not found any things to dislike it. It is really wonderful. Not so much data is available to integrate gitlab with other applications as it is very new to its counterpart. But it is improving constantly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

GitLab is great for sharing and working together on big projects. It's easy to use, and you can even import projects from other places like GitHub or BitBucket. Tracking tasks and milestones is simple, and exploring public projects is easy too. Overall, it's a handy tool for collaborating and getting work done together.

What differentiates GitLab from other similar products?

When it comes to code review, GitLab's adaptability is critical. It has certainly contributed greatly to promoting excellence in coding in accordance with the most sustainable design and development requirements in the market. Lately, my clients have been enthusiastic about GitLab, and the quality of work has increased as a result. I love the interface.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Gitlab runners extenteds the standard git platform with a great platform for CI/CD implementations. It has easy to provision CI runners for you needs and the defenitions of pipelines and integrations are easy and very straight forward making it a must have platform. The built in repository is also great and easy to implement making it great for daily use and even scheduled tasks can be done in the CI.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The UI could be better it seems like it's constantly changing for the worse hopefully the better in the long time but it's not only on Gitlab it seems it's wider problem with others adapting the same layout which I find very confusing at this moment and harder to use.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

GitLab allows to share and collaborate on big projects very easily by easy cloning and Merge Requesting to projects and display my work. Collaborating on GitLab is very simple and fast.

What differentiates GitLab from other similar products?

For departments like mine, where agile processes is our bread and butter, Gitlab's integrated agile and portfolio planning sets it apart from other Git software platforms. Having agile and portfolio planning integrated within Gitlab has helped us to adopt a standard template for streamlining internal software development workflow, and made it straight-forward tracking our work processes from ideation to eventual software product deployment.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Gitlab's Continuous integration infrastructure ( Ci ) are the best of any Git platform I have used. Gitlab has helped my department to embrace the automation of CI processes. Leading to more efficient verification ,integration and automated testing of our codes.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Due to the avalanche of features available on Gitlab, it can get very complex to navigate or use for new users. I am of the opinion that support for users can be more readily available without my department needing to have to create its own dedicated support resource for employees, which is currently the case for us at my organisation.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

From my own professional experience, I can say that adopting a platform like Gitlab can really go a long way towards helping a development team / department to cut down on development time and cost.
