What differentiates Fivetran from other similar products?

The setup makes it very easy to integrate various cloud platforms with data. Data migration and scheduling are very simple. Minimal training is required for new employees. With the recent implementation of GCP migration and DBT, it's very easy to simplify ETL pipelines. I wish it had proper Slack integration and orchestration features as well where the transformation would be triggered remotely or via dbt and the E and L part would be handled by Fivetran itself

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like the UI a lot. It's clean and is not filled with clutter. In case of a failure or lag, the support team is very helpful and responds quickly with proper remedy.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It's pricey. I believe that the migration can be replicated with on-prem resources for a little cheaper. With they'd charge based on data size rather than MARs

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Always monitor the MARs being consumed. Keep monitoring your transactional data because in case it explodes, Fivetran will carry over those.
