What differentiates dotCMS Cloud from other similar products?

dotCMS supports delivering content traditionally (multi-page sites) and headlessly (APIs, SPAs), plus a “universal visual editor” so marketers can do inline editing, layout design, etc., even for headless or SPA front-ends.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Developers get the API-first, scalable delivery they want.

What do you dislike most about this product?

If I had to point out a drawback of dotCMS Cloud, it would be the complexity that comes with its power

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

dotCMS pricing says there’s no limit on content types or users for Enterprise plan, but features, support, environments, etc. impact price.

What differentiates dotCMS Cloud from other similar products?

What differentiates dotCMS from other similar products is that we can use it in a headless way like content delivered via APIs or more traditionally like templates, and visual editing. This has given us the flexibility, allowing the same platform to serve many channels and allowing even the non-technical users to work efficiently. It also supports multi-channel which helps us to deliver the same content across websites, mobile apps, PWAs, signage and more via APIs. This helps to avoid duplication of content and helps maintain consistency.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Helps us to manage multiple websites, brands and languages from one centralized place. Its scalable because it supports clustering, caching and containerization.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its more complex and thus users need familiarity in Java. For the non-technical first time users it might be overwhelming.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Its great tool for serving content across multiple channels like websites, mobile apps and more. But not advisable for small simple project with tight busget.
