What differentiates BMC TrueSight Operations Management from other similar products?

TrueSight Operations Manager provides one single URL and a consistent user interface to monitor all servers, view events and alerts, and drill down and analyze the data points. Just one Patrol agent is deployed and that agent can be customized with various KMs ( Knowledge Modules) to collect everything you need for monitoring - OS, applications, databases, and web pages.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The event and alerting can be customized before being integrated to automatically open incidents so that the incident ticket provide a meaningful message. The ability to ingest events from third parties.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Network monitoring is not part of TSOM and integrated through a partner. For a complex environment, TrueSight Operations Manager meets a lot of your needs in just one product but for a smaller, simpler shop it may be overkill.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Other products that were compared to TSOM were eliminated because of lack of support for some technologies or lacking functionality.

BMC truesight has a great GUI, makes it very to use , effective and efficient

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

favorite aspect for us that security and compliance reports can be done very easily, we do have to customize it to our needs but it is freeze as compared to before for sure

What do you dislike most about this product?

Nothing to dislike

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you re considering to get this product please ensure you get the features that you use or are planning to use. it comes with way too many modules and not all of them may fit your needs. you may also want to gradually get into it by doing a trial and seeing that if it actaully saves you time and effort compared to traditional methods.
