The Net Emotional Footprint measures high-level user sentiment towards particular product offerings. What differentiates Act! from other similar products?
Affordability. We didn't need a CRM system on steroids when we decided to onboard a CRM system, and we didn't have a server on premise. Act! was a much more affordable, cloud-based, tool for our company, especially given our size and how we use the various functions, including generating and distributing newsletters, this was a big deal to us, Act! is a good tool to reach thousands of prospects and customers annually.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The Marketing functionality.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Being cloud-based, I notice a lag at times and a need to refresh, this is a negative.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Do your homework, Act! is affordable, if it satisfies your needs, it is a budget-friendly option.

Using ACT!

What differentiates Act! from other similar products?
I have used ACT! for 30+ years. I started with version 2. I have also been a BETA tester and worked with upper level technical support. During my career, I've also used 2 other CRMs, but ACT! is by far my favorite. ACT! is very powerful, intuitive navigate, and easy to use. I have customized every layout and added/modified many fields. I rely on ACT! and use it every day to manage client activities, history, and contact information. It also integrates with MS Office. Security has several levels, and are very easy to modify.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Management of contact information and integration with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Very feature rich, saves me time and helps make me successful management the relationships with my clients.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The marketing automation is not very intuitive to set up and use. Unfortunately, the history is not saved in the history tab. Therefore, my email marketing campaigns are performed manually, which talkes loads of time, but provides realtime feedback and a history. Lastly, texting from ACT! is not a free feature.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Try it! Register for the monthly webinars and ask questions.

What differentiates Act! from other similar products?
Recording notes has always been critical and initially, Pat Sullivan - Founder, did an excellent job serving the needs of sales staff.'s ACT is mission critical software for us and we rely on it on a daily basis. Over 20 years we have had challenges with consistently buggy upgrades. Integration with cellular phones is a continuing major issue.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Recording Notes after phone calls and email is a critical benefit.
What do you dislike most about this product?
ACT is doing an abysmal job explaining its product line, e.g. desktop, cloud and hybrid. Training could benefit from vastly more videos with real life problems/solutions being resolved.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Proceed slowly in selecting CRM software and do a much better job figuring out exactly what you need and how you will be implementing new software.
