Yellowfin is the data visualization tool of choice in my organization because of all the time it saves us when we need to load large data sets, analyze them, make presentations or simply create dashboards and reports. Data analysis automation has helped us a lot in terms of saving time and energy while allowing us to take advantage of all the information we have at our fingertips to make decisions.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

In my organization we are using Yellowfin to create dashboards and reports where we can capture data collected from different sources and its performance has been great. We have integrated it with other predictive analytics tools and the process has been amazingly fast. Yellowfin's user interface is very attractive, I like it a lot and it has features that are good for the whole company such as predictive analytics, advanced data analysis, dashboard customization, queries and reporting, just to mention a few or at least the ones that are important for us.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I wish it had good tutorials to make it easier to train new users. I would also like its cost to be a little more accessible.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It saves a lot of time and effort for users who need to process any amount of data, automate analytical processes and find the best ways to present data. Highly recommended.

What differentiates Yellowfin from other similar products?

YF is simple to use for an individual with average expertise with Bi tools and has a number of options equivalent to report broadcasting and storyboards that create it particularly fascinating for users that require to stay close to their data however have restricted time to access a laptop computer – users that are site managers on the sector for example. The likelihood to enter reports is nice because it enriches our web dashboard and permits users to access most of their data directly from our application.

I actually liked the recent enhancements like information preparation, data governance and collaboration experiences to feature to its advanced reporting, dashboards, visualization, and embedded Bi capabilities. What do you dislike most about this product?

The upgrade method is super painful and plenty of manual manipulation needs to be done for reports in-built previous versions to figure properly in newer ones.

Yellowfin Bi is an excellent tool however it’s not an enterprise Bi tool. If you wish for a tool for your business and analyst then simply opt for it.

Yellowfin is an incredible software system to present analytics data reports and dashboards with loads of customization and versatile options. I favor the way yellowfin comes with an intrinsic user profile management with support for normal and custom roles, permissions features. These features are considerably valuable when working in a very multitenant environment. The support for dynamic filters, content loading and refreshing and Geographical map based reports some of the particular options, that adds a great deal of value to our Analytics platform!

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Yellowfin is incredibly straightforward to figure with. Everything is super intuitive and well designed. The support they supply through training, documentation, YouTube, community forums, and tickets is nothing short of amazing. As a new user, it’s been a pleasant expertise working on getting our app up and running!

What do you dislike most about this product?

The interface is created a bit additional interactive and catchy to eyes! Lack of having support of multiple themes, more skin colours etc makes reports look a bit boring on user interface. A bit of performance improvement may facilitate a better user experience. The user interface’s appearance is a bit thick.. quite like VB forms. A lift of interface to look more like a trendy and wealthy web portal might add vital price to the user experience.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Whereas the import method is excellent, it’ll save you time on the back-end to not have to re-import for brand new changes or update one by one in every organization after the fact.
