A Simple Yet Influential Task Management Tool

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Trello from other similar products?

It is well known for its understandable features that provide an easy layout for task management. Its low learning curve makes it a perfect choice for larger organizations. Its availability on cross platforms makes easy management of tasks from anywhere. It's a desktop version that offers well-designed features for proper functionality.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It's a versatile software that requires no technical knowledge for its usage which makes its usage easier without any complexity. It is easily accessible software that is mobile-friendly and works remotely without affecting the workflow. This feature makes it an on-the-go option to work with without any complications. It centralizes the system in one place and keeps the teams connected by maintaining collaboration.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It lacks in-depth and analytical features, especially for the teams who need more detailed projects at that time it feels more limited and requires more tools for further advanced work. It depends more on the third party for the project management.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

One must go with a simple board, especially for newcomers to get more familiar with the tools first. For more complex projects, the integration of other tools can be done with Trello. It is an on-the-go option to stay connected with your tasks and projects even if you are away from your work point.

Visual Collaboration with Automation Potential.

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Trello from other similar products?

The most impressive thing about Trello is that it is very visually-rich and easy to use Kanban style interface. It’s a drag-and-drop system combined with a card system that’s super easy for even someone new to project management to organise and assign tasks. This simplicity means that teams can be onboarded to Trello and begin working in the environment with little training, so it’s an excellent tool for small-to-medium-sized teams or organizations if you are new to project management tools.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My personal favorite part of Trello is its Butler automation. Butler lets you design rules, buttons, and commands to eliminate the duplication of work and optimize processes. You can, for instance, set rules that switch cards around based on due dates, allocate teams to cards when they’re placed on specific lists, or set up recurring tasks for recurring team activities. This advanced automation tool saves you time, minimizes human mistakes and frees up team members to do more important things.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I don’t like how Trello has only partial project management feature when you’re working on multiple large projects at once. The board view is great for single projects, but it isn’t as easy to visualize everything going on in the company, where everything is and what resources are used. This constraint can hinder managers in planning work priorities and distributing resources amongst multiple teams or departments.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I suggest if you’re thinking about Trello, I recommend you get started with the free version to get an idea of how the app works in its foundation and see if it fits into your team’s workflow. Create a test project board and have team members work together, experimenting with lists and card placement. This hands-on approach will make it clearer what you can and can’t do with Trello based on your unique circumstances, before signing up for a paid plan.
