What differentiates ThreatLocker from other similar products?

The ZeroTrust model is our future but implementation is always a nightmare. Threatlocker has solved that problem with CyberHeros and Ringfencing.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite part of ThreatLocker is the new dashboard, the people at ThreatLocker and the Cyberheros.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Reporting is garbage. I need really pretty reports to show my customers with example of saving from breaches that didn't happen because of ThreatLocker.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take your time implementing and use your Cyberheros.

  • Inspires Innovation
  • Security Protects
  • Trustworthy

Reactive defense to true zero trust prevention.

What differentiates ThreatLocker from other similar products?

What sets ThreatLocker apart for me is that it’s truly prevention-focused, not just another detection tool. Most security solutions wait until something runs and then try to catch it—ThreatLocker flips that model with a default-deny approach, so anything not explicitly allowed simply doesn’t execute. That alone is a game changer.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of ThreatLocker is the level of control it gives us through true application allowlisting. Having a default-deny environment where only approved software can run has been a game changer—it shifts us from constantly reacting to threats to actually preventing them from executing in the first place.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I don’t have any real dislikes—if anything, it just requires some upfront effort to implement properly, but that’s expected with any true zero trust approach.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I’d recommend going into ThreatLocker with the right mindset—this isn’t just another tool you deploy, it’s a shift in how you approach security. Take the time upfront to properly baseline your environment using Learning Mode, understand what your users actually need, and build meaningful policies from the start. From there, make sure you’re leveraging the full platform—features like Elevation Control and Ringfencing are where you really start reducing risk and tightening things down. Treat it as an ongoing process—stay engaged, review requests, and continuously tune policies as your environment evolves.
