The platform’s stability and predictable performance for heavy analytical workloads have always been its strongest aspects. I appreciate how efficiently it handles large‑scale queries and structured data, especially in environments with long‑established Teradata practices and tools.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The platform still feels tied to older architectural patterns, which makes scaling and adapting to cloud‑native workloads less smooth than it should be. Managing performance and resources often requires more manual oversight compared to modern cloud platforms.

What differentiates Teradata VantageCloud from other similar products?

With teradata you dont need to have a very big team of expert engineers , instead you can get started with a smaller engineering team. And focus more on solving your business use-cases

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Teradata Vantage works well with amazon s3, azure, kafka and in progressing on the latest developments in big data space Teradata Vantage provides excellent analytics and tools as follows - BI tools integrations with tableau , qlik, IBM Cognos - integration with dataiku and sas - inttegration with notebooks like jupyter notebooks , rstudio

What do you dislike most about this product?

I feel that it should also support more modern data formats file apache iceberg, delta lake . hudi which are becoming more common in the current big data landscape. And it should work on improving the cost effectiveness by reducing the license cost

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are part of an organization where you work in the IBM stack, oracle in these cases using teradata vantage makes lots of sense and can ease up the integrations with cloud storages like s3
