What differentiates TeamViewer Remote from other similar products?

The most important difference with respect to other solutions, with a special focus on proper tools from operating systems, is the possibility of using TeamViewer in any operating system. In fact, you can install it on Linux, Mac, or Windows, and connect from any other system. With other solutions, such as VNC, you may need to perform a more complex installation or set up the tool with special features. Besides, it gives you full control of the system instead of opening a new session. On the other hand, you do not need to add a special rule to the firewall, since most of the firewalls recognize TeamViewer.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is very easy to use it. You only have to install the product on the computers where you want to use it, open it and you can use it without problems. Moreover, I love the possibility of using the tool with different operating systems, since I may need to control different machines with different installations. You can also establish a general password and connect to a machine no matter if the machine has been rebooted. I love the fact of using the mouse as if I were in front of the machine. Another good feature is the possibility of copying and pasting text between machines using TeamViewer.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I have not been able to configure the tool using the command line in Linux. I have tried to use it several times in order to set up a general password, but this feature did not work for me. I have to go to the remote computer and set up the password. That is, I could not configure the tool remotely. On the other hand, TeamViewer allows you to use the tool for free for some time. But, if the tool detects that you are using it too much, then you can only open a session for a limited time. Sometimes, I have almost not used the tool, but I found that limitation. So, the tool should clearly warn you about the criteria used for such limitations

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I recommend setting up a fixed password in the first use of the application. Besides, the user should enable the tool to open when the remote system is started. Thus, you can connect to the remote system using the tool even if the system has been rebooted. Otherwise, TeamViewer uses a new password at each system restart. Please, remember using a secure password. I also recommend using TeamViewer with a good internet connection. Since the tool is using a lot of data, you may experience some difficulties when using the mouse and the remote desktop with slow connections or if you are using other applications demanding the network.

I have been using teamviewer for about three years.  In my company I’m working as a remote digital marketing executive,  so I need to collaborate actively and perfectly even if it is work at home.  I have tried too many software for remote accessing like this before.  Firstly I would like to say about the user interface of the teamviewer platform as it is very easy to handle for a child.  We can easily connect with another user with the help of a unique ID provided by the platform. It has all required features that needs to be included in a remote control platform.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I am unable to find a mistake from this platform.  But being frank I would like to say that,  I just felt that the remote control might be bit slow in poor network when compared to  faster speed network.  I don’t know whether it’s a problem regarding my laptop or my network connection.  But it is very difficult to access somebody's desktop or devices when you are under a poor network because it’s lagging very well.

You should have stable and fast internet connection.

What differentiates TeamViewer Remote from other similar products?

TeamViewer is an old player and everybody knows about it, it works great, very easy to set-up and to use. No need of training, just a few clicks and you're ready to go.

The easy way of setting up the software in a new computer

Sometimes a new user can get lost between all the options
