What differentiates Tableau from other similar products?

Metadata management and being able to link SAP to Tableau through SQL is a real plus especially when wanting to creating unique reports and dashboards. Being able to provide end users with visually appealing dashboard that are easy to use is a major upside to this software.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Customization aspects. Depth of visualization tools as well.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Can be a bit slow in comparison to Power BI. When using large sets of data, a change in the filters on a dashboard can lead to a refresh taking longer than desired. This can lead to frustration for end users.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Maximize the use of dashboards - combine all data in this easy to use and visually appealing section of Tableau, create email reports from these dashboards and also set up tracking to see who is using it most often and which end users are not utilizing it.
