What differentiates Tableau from other similar products?

tableau public’s free tier outdoes excel for hobbyist data viz, with pro-level tools for zero cost. it’s my playground for side gigs like blog charts.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

i can craft heatmaps or treemaps from csvs, making my data pop visually. the community gallery inspires me with user-made vizzes to mimic. the mobile app lets me tweak dashboards on the go.

What do you dislike most about this product?

no private storage in tableau public—everything’s open unless you pay.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

for personal data experiments, tableau public’s free tools spark creativity.
