It makes dashboarding simple and intuitive

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Tableau from other similar products?

When it comes to creating business dashboards, the BI team relies on Tableau Desktop. This tool is helpful since it makes creating dashboards a breeze. It helps businesses see how they're doing through data and offers managerial insight.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Tableau excels in providing a bird's-eye view of large amounts of data in a straightforward manner. This may include dashboards for executives or team-based dashboards based on objectives and key performance indicators. Tableau is not as well suited for granular and raw data extraction that may be used by a team like Finance to reconcile cash or transactions.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The user interface may need some refinement. Product is separate from the online editor and hence requires further installation. Easier manipulation of user-defined settings.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

To date, I've had nothing except good interactions with the Tableau staff. They respond quickly, and you can discover solutions to most issues by searching the extensive knowledge base that is the Tableau community. When we ran into problems, the Tableau staff responded quickly and effectively.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Reliable
  • Enables Productivity
  • Trustworthy

Fastest and smartest data discovery solution.

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Tableau from other similar products?

Interactive dashboards with various use cases encourage discussion and the exchange of ideas. Excellent knowledge base articles that aid with query problems and excellent support from the Tableau user community. Customizing views is another fantastic tool that is helpful when developing dashboards. Anyone with any level of coding knowledge or no coding background can use the drag-and-drop user interface (UI).

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Even inexperienced Excel users may learn Tableau Desktop, which is easy to use and capable of handling even the most challenging problems. Tableau Desktop aids data representation and comprehension. It makes it possible for us to quickly and securely communicate data from many different data sources, including on-premise and on-cloud sources. We adore Tableau Desktop's ability to connect to any top data source and extract data.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Similar to Excel, a custom tabular format with numerous computed fields should be offered. Calculations and parameters can sometimes be challenging to understand. It can be challenging and confusing to determine whether and where a data element is used in a dashboard. To modify a data source, a local copy of the source must be created. Reusing a local copy that already exists is not possible.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The usage of Tableau Desktop for SAP connectivity is very efficient and facilitates working on data sets with many end-users. This program is incredibly dependable and effective for importing and exporting many distinct features. This application makes it simple to analyze and process data from unstructured data.

Pros

  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Unique Features

Easy to use Analytics Tool with variety of charts

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Tableau from other similar products?

Tableau has a wide variety of charts to represent data. Most of the analytics tools have some additional charts in their marketplace under development but Tableau lets us select and use multiple charts without the hustle of searching the marketplace

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Tableau can connect to almost every structured data source be it on-premise or in the cloud. The connection is seamless and needs to be set up only once. Sharing the reports with anyone is easy too. We can either share it online or download a .twbx file and share the file

What do you dislike most about this product?

Since Tableau is not web-based, sometimes it takes more time than expected to fetch the data from the underlying query and populate the charts. This in turn results in more time in updating and populating the dashboard containing multiple metrics

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Tableau is definitely worth trying. It has a variety of charts to represent your data and add value to data insights. It is very easy to use and the Tableau team has also published basic tutorials on how to use Tableau and its features on their website.

  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
