I would recommend spend some time learning the flow-based interface because it will makes data cleaning and transformation much easier once you get familiar.

What differentiates Tableau from other similar products?
Tableau Prep feels easier to pick up than some other ETL tools, yet it’s still powerful enough for more complex data tasks so both beginners and experienced analysts can use it.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect is how smoothly it works with Tableau dashboards. Once the data is ready, moving it into reports is quick and seamless.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Automation options are somewhat limited compared to full ETL tools, so some repetitive jobs still need manual effort.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Take a little time to go through tutorials or training. A few basics make a big difference and help you get more value out of the tool.
