What is ServiceNow Asset Management?

ServiceNow Asset Management tracks the financial, contractual, and inventory details of hardware and virtual infrastructure – as well as non‑IT assets – throughout their lifecycle. Asset requests are handled using workflows to obtain approvals, validate entitlements, issue chargebacks, and provision services. Once an asset is deployed, Asset Management records all maintenance activity and enables IT to perform regular audits, right up until asset retirement.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love the analysis and reporting features.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Initial setup and Configuration process was not as easy as told by their sales and Marketing. It is Time consuming.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ensure you have sufficient time and resources for the initial setup and training. It offers long term value So, do a complete analysis before opting in,

Reporting customization and Dashboard customization can be tricky

Implementation can be difficult depending on how many departments will be integrated, advise is to have a representative of each department early on into the deployment and integration stage

Ease of integration, business community familiarity, reliability, vendor support, reporting features.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

One stop Shop- All of our applications, assets can be managed in one place, all problems tie to each asset directly.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is not much negative one can say about Service Now, especially if you've used other competitor's programs. I do not think I would want to work somewhere that didn't use this tool in the position I hold now.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Best in Class, for a reason.
