What differentiates SAP Cloud ERP from other similar products?
SAP is a stable and reliable product. The architecture is sound. There were factors that left a really bad taste in everyone's mouths. The expectation that EACH component would be individually priced and not negotiated was tough. The lack of upfront sales engineering with the purchasing enterprises' best interests superceded the overall technical experience.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Scalability is superb.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The fact that we had droves of consultants both SAP specific and Big 4 air dropped to support the needs. All was extremely costly.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Go beyond the RFP. Ensure your vendor management team has done industry analysis on cost and contract. It may just be the nature of the beast when dealing with mega companies, but my expectations were higher for the process than what was delivered.
