What differentiates SAP Cloud ERP from other similar products?
SAP is a tiger and king of ERP products. SAP products accumulate all best experience their product team interacts with during implementation projects of customers. When you buy SAP ERP you are buying all entire and optimised for any given case business projects however Business One edition is more unified so been focused on mid sized businesses.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
SAP is reliable and sets standarts. You will not be experimenting but just implementing best in class. It has simple but very readable designes and optimised data warehousing facilities. There is a lot of industrial versions so you can choose specific one but all are IFRS and risk management procedures complient. SAP has large support and implementation teams who are available to interact with you and guarantee 150 days full version implementation.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Tax are location specific topics both with actuarial calculations and fixed assest appraisal rules so this can't be fully automated. You have to hire SAP implementation team with on site work but most of it could be subject for remote support and that would reduce budgets. SAP is rather expencive but in the same time guaranteed high quality Delivery. You have to choose industry specific modules separately and Business One is applicable for small enterprises. SAP is not flexible and customisation is very expencive - SAP is about PRODUCTIVITY of using your enterprise resources but not about agile INNOVATIONS.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
First make clear all you processes and make sure they are most efficient as of available variants. Contact with SAP and check functionality and options you need an if the scope and price is okay for you - go ahead, SAP is standart and has guaranteed by vendor 150 days implementation cycle. You adopts to SAP ERP rules and business processes, not SAP is adopting to your company processes. You are buying also know how of given industry management processes.It is expensive so have plan and scope first.
