What differentiates Samsara from other similar products?

Samsara differs from other products due to its commitment to innovating and integrating new features. In my experience, Samsara representatives have been more than willing to hear feedback and implement changes based off of real user review. Their customer-first approach can be felt through these interactions and the products that are released as a result of them.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Samsara is that it grants me the ability to keep so much information in one place. I always have access to driver files, vehicle records, security camera and vehicle footage, or any other information I need to effectively perform my duties.

What do you dislike most about this product?

My biggest dislike with Samsara as a product is that the tools tend to require outside fine-tuning in order to be better geared toward the purpose of our company. Samsara works amazingly as an information gathering resource, however we often find ourselves needing to build our own tools with the API rather than relying on all of the functions included within the software itself.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would generally recommend Samsara to most companies within the shipping/transportation industry. My recommendations would be to evaluate what purposes they are looking to serve with the software and properly consult with a representative to address these needs. Samsara offers so many different features that it can be overwhelming when broadly applied to an entire organization.

What differentiates Samsara from other similar products?

The intuitiveness of the product is exemplary, and the integration of AI is great.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The AI driver training helps to ensure they're being rewarded for making good decisions.

What do you dislike most about this product?

No dislikes regarding this product at this particular time.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Definitely give it a try. You won't regret it at all.

What differentiates Samsara from other similar products?

There are so many features with Samsara for maintenance, safety and GPS all in one software. We had a previous product that only did a fraction of what Samsara is doing for us today. They are always improving and adding enhancements. The use of AI to assist has been very beneficial when setting things up or looking for a solution. Their customer service is terrific with whatever needs you have they are always there to assist you. We recently added the CAM program to our Samsara. This will be an incredible program to have us be preventative instead of reactionary.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It's hard to pick a favorite but the number one is cameras/safety.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is only thing I have come across that hasn't been added yet to Samsara is in the CAM program. It would be nice to have every filter, tire, part associated with that GPS device listed so mechanics will know what they need to work on that vehicle, equipment or trailer. When you add parts to the inventory list nobody will know how many devices in Samara will need to use that part. If you have one of this type in your fleet that uses a particular part then you wouldn't need as many vs. something that you have 20 in your fleet that uses the same part.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

We are not a typical fleet so I can't attest to the HOS portion. For the GPS it has saved time and money to know where everything is in real time or closest to your project. For the cameras it has improved our drivers or let us know the ones that need improvement for safety. Fuel usage and spending especially with idling has reduced costs. Maintenance will be saving us hundreds of thousands of dollars every year. There is a lot of customization to fit your business model. The reporting has so much detail and information for every aspect of the different ways you are utilizing Samsara for your business.
