What differentiates Salesforce Authenticator from other similar products?

It is easily managed within the salesforce admin menus. So it is easy to reset or to assist a known user to access the system while still keepoing your data safe.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

it's simple, it does one job and doesn;t overcomplicate anything.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is nothing to dislike about this product. It is a well designed authenticator. it does the job, is easy to install and use.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you do not secure your login any other was (SAML SSO etc) then there's really nothing esle that you can do. It is both essential and mandatory in the latest release, But you secure other logins and the data in Salesforce is priceless so make sure to secure that.
