What makes Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform unique is the mix of easy automation from Ansible with enterprise capabilities to deploy and scale automation across teams. As a Software Engineer I find it handy for deployment automation , configuration updates , and repeated development chores . Centralised administration also helps in maintaining the consistency of automated workflows.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like most is the ability to develop reusable automation playbooks and run them reliably across diverse contexts. It creates less repetitious manual effort, and makes deployments more predictable. I also like the ability to control automation from one single place.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The platform is very powerful and the more complex features can require a little of effort to learn. If you are contemplating larger automation initiatives — especially those that span numerous teams — you may also need to do some planning.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would advocate starting small with automation and then building out reusable playbooks / procedures. Teams should also develop name, inventory and access-control protocols early. If you’re working with deployments or infrastructure automation on a regular basis, the platform can help you avoid a lot of repeated labour.
