What differentiates Quickbooks Online from other similar products?

Quickbooks is well-known and there are many free training videos on youtube to learn the software.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The layout/graphic interface was intuitive and easy to navigate, and setup was a smooth process. It also has some features beyond basic accounting. Although most platforms have an automatic bank link now, the auto-transaction-category rules are a time-saving automation tool.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The price is the worst feature of Quickbooks- it's absurd for a simple cloud program with almost no support. The second biggest problem is the difficult process to reach support. It's not a well-designed feature and you'll be left wondering if you'll actually reach a person at all. For the cost of the service, it's infuriating. Third, whatever you'd like to do beyond basic accounting will cost you. Importing our existing data required a third-party service that cost almost as much monthly as Quickbooks itself, all for a basic API feature that Quickbooks is lacking. The inventory management feature we expected was rudimentary and unusable.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I was disappointed with Quickbooks and would not recommend it. If you're a small business, it'd be foolish to pay the high cost of Quickbooks cloud. The same basic accounting features are available on other platforms at no cost. If you're a large business or have many products, the lack of effective import features makes adopting the platform almost impossible. Beware the sales pitch trying to convince you this is an "investment", or pushing you toward higher-price tiers for useable features. A cloud service is just that- a cost-effective service, not a high price investment! Quickbooks does not bring value equal to its cost.
