What differentiates Qualys TotalAppSec from other similar products?

Single pane of glass pretty much which is ideal. Trurisk reporting etc is great for execs. Shadow discovery good. Interface very user friendly. Training for staff is no issue as the resources are all available and the interface is very intuitive.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Best interface of all I have used. Features are constantly updated in line with new regulations, requirements. VMDR is all in one solution for us for VM across our entire estate - helping us achieve ce+, iso270

What do you dislike most about this product?

API is limited sometimes especially when it comes to migrating data between subscriptions (tagging, policies etc) but that is probably a bit of a edge case that only applied to us

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

We have reviewed many PoCs for similar solutions at iomart and despite many strategy and leadership changes (and recommendations to use tenable etc) we have always stuck with Qualys due to good support, ease of use and good account management, flexible negotiations to meet our requirements.

What differentiates Qualys TotalAppSec from other similar products?

Qualys TotalAppSec is a unified platform that has over visibility across application & API with TruRisk based prioritization. It enabled to focus on vulnerabilities that has higher business impact. It also integrates the capabilities with CI/CD pipelines and ITSM platforms to simplify application security operations.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The unified view of the platform for application & API is the favorite aspect. It makes easy to discover assets, detect vulnerabilities, prioritize and track the remediation from one console. It also improves visibility and helps to focus on high-impact risks.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The platform does a good job with web application and API security, but certain configurations can be a bit complex and require additional tuning. Expanding the range of native AppSec testing capabilities and making some features more developer-friendly would make the overall experience even better.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend Qualys TotalAppSec to organizations that want better visibility into their web application and API security risks. The platform works best when it's integrated into existing development and vulnerability management processes. In my experience, it helps security teams prioritize what matters most and manage application security from a single place, rather than juggling multiple tools.

What differentiates Qualys TotalAppSec from other similar products?

Part of the Qualys platform, providing many modules, so the deployment and time-to-production are straightforward and need almost no efforts. Many available integrations, great product documentation, outstanding fre training platform.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Easy to run and deploy, out-of-the-box and customizable reports, many and important available integrations, fair price., great technical support, continuously evolving.

What do you dislike most about this product?

the is nothing i dislike in this platform, as of now.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

have a clear list of requirements, integrations and baseline. Review which are supported and if there are any gaps. The cost -performance is important. Keep in mind that adding modules to an existing platform - saves a lot of efforts, and so time and money.
