Qlik sense has very powerful ETL capability that means you can write more complex logic easily in Qlik compare to any other tool . Qlik support even to build your own databased using qvd files, you can write snapshot kind of logic which is not supported by most of the reporting tools. Qlik provide high level of security on data.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Capability to create data snapshots in order to perform As of analysis in reporting and maintaining the history of data. Qlik is cost effective and easy to maintain. All your apps. application can be created, updated, refreshed from same place(hub).

What do you dislike most about this product?

Qlik has tough competition from tools like tableau and power BI because of more attractive GUI provided by other tools. Qlik should continuously focus on improving the GUI part and adding more attractive eye catching graphs.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

if you have complex data model and complex business logic that needs to be driven via reporting tool then Qlik is the perfect tool. You can write most complex logic here using Qlik scripting. You can maintain data history in Qlik itself. Its also cost effective when compare to combined package data modeler and reporting solution.

My favorite aspect of Qlik Sense is the Associative Engine, which lets you uncover hidden insights by exploring data in any direction, not just along predefined drill paths.

What do you dislike most about this product?

What I dislike most about Qlik Sense is that advanced features like write-back, version control, and some visualizations require third-party extensions, which can complicate maintenance and increase costs.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I’d recommend clearly defining your data governance and security model before rollout to maximize trust in insights. Invest time in training users on the Associative Engine so they can fully leverage self-service exploration. Also, plan for extension management or integrations if you need advanced features beyond the out-of-the-box offering.

What differentiates Qlik Sense from other similar products?

Most powerful feature of Qlik sense is scripting capabilities. you can do lot of data modeling in Qlik sense using scripts. You can create your own data lake in qlik and build some of the most complex logics.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Snapshot logic. Customization of data and building the most complex logic within Qlik sense with limited dependency on ETL or DB team.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Qliksense needs to improve GUI, including more charts and improving the pricing model.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

well-suited for companies that need to enable business users to easily explore and analyze data, uncover insights, and make data-driven decisions. Basic SQL knowledge is required to start development.
