What differentiates PTC Windchill from other similar products?

It integrates with PTC Creo and SAP softwares easily for end to end design data management, engineering change management and releases design data converting it from 3d to 2d pdf files through SAP to the end user. It is easily customizable and windchill team customizes it as per end user company admin inputs for smooth functionality.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It keeps full history of all parts, sub assemblies and assemblies including previous versions, iterations and revisions which helps me to see the previous changes in design in no time. It has a good option of creating promotion requests to get the data reviewed from seniors before releasing it for production.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Me and my whole team is using it on daily basis for more than 6 hours a day and we are very much satisfied with the features that windchill offers.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are looking for a complete product life cycle and quality management system then you may definitely consider windchill as it offers lot of features and has a very user friendly interface.

What differentiates PTC Windchill from other similar products?

As per my usage, Windchill has more capabilities in change tasks and workflow, review systems and track of the CCNs. I am using it daily to create BOM, accepting tasks and It is very easy to track the flow in windchill. Its a web based system so easily connect anywhere to track the CCNs and tasks, New CCN creation and attributes filling is quite good. I enjoys working with the windchill.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Create a CCN, creating BOM and after releasing from design stage, end to end tracking is possible, and that is my favourite. I can track that CCN is now with the Production person or the drawing is released to the vendor from purchase side. Its a very good for the tracking and data management point of view.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Overall is very good product, but I want it to integrate with excel smoothly so I can track and update my BOM within Excel on real time.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Its a very good, user friendly and web based data management software which is having good workflow management and data management capabilities.
