What differentiates PTC Windchill from other similar products?

PTC Windchill helps in maintaining the lifecycle of a product and link all the related documents to a SKU to the part object. This helps me in easy tracking of the SKU. Additionally whenever there is a change in the documentation related to a SKU the product owners are also informed about the same through Windchill.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The best part about Windchill is the ease in manitaining the lifecycle of a product through Change Request Change Notice and Non Change Controlled Change Notice process.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Windchill needs to create an automated system in order to send reminder to the task approvers as per the timer setup by the Change owner.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend to use this PLM software and give it the highest preference in comparison to any other PLM tools.

What differentiates PTC Windchill from other similar products?

Its unique features and wonderful integration with other software. Its features for change management is excellent and even you can customise it as per your requirement. You can manage your all design related data like cad, dwg and other important documents very efficiently.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

User interface is extraordinary and ECR and ECN is very easy and you can track any any change along with supporting documents any time. Its BOM management is also one of key features. You can easily integrate it with modeling software like creo. You can also track previous revision of drawing very easily.

What do you dislike most about this product?

While extracting BOM or partlist from Windchill it should be in Excel standard format but currently you can to change format of BOM everytime. Sometimes it didn't provide email notifications for your activities

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

One of leading software for lifecycle management. Highly recommended
