Prisma Access: Scalable and Powerful
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Prisma Access from other similar products?
Prisma Access stands out because it combines multiple security tools—firewall, ZTNA, CASB, SWG, and SD-WAN—into one unified, cloud-delivered service. It’s built for global scale, offers AI-driven threat protection, and gives teams a single place to manage policies and visibility. While competitors may be cheaper or easier to set up, Prisma Access shines when you need depth, advanced security, and enterprise-grade control in one platform.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My fav part is when Instead of managing several tools for firewalling, zero-trust access, secure web gateway, and cloud security, Prisma Access consolidates them into a single, cloud-delivered platform with centralized control. This means fewer silos, simpler policy updates, and a uniform security posture regardless of where users connect—HQ, a branch office, or a café Wi-Fi.
What do you dislike most about this product?
What I dislike the most about Prisma Access is its complicated setup and learning curve. While it is strong, configuring everything right can be difficult, especially for first-time Palo Alto users. It takes time and skill to fine-tune policies, integrate with other security technologies, and troubleshoot. This may hold down the first deployment for smaller teams or individuals with no Palo Alto knowledge. Would you like me to recommend strategies to make the onboarding process go more smoothly (for example, best practices or training resources)?
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Begin with Prisma Access's guided onboarding to make setup easier, and then focus on detailed, least-privilege policies with user identity integration for robust, consistent security.

- Continually Improving Product
- Enables Productivity
