On the other hand, the flexibility of the software in fitting into our exclusive needs as opposed to dictating to us what to do is the key feature.

What do you dislike most about this product?

While it can serve as an excellent tool for project management on the big scale, Sciforma PPM can be a bit slow in handling small design tasks.

The scheduling functionality in Sciforma PPM has turned around the way we handle and keep track of design projects.

That is the uniqueness of Planview the ability to bring together project planning, portfolio management, resources and strategic priorities. I've found it valuable as a Technical Project Lead to have visibility across projects whilst keeping technical work aligned to wider organisational priorities.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favourites are the portfolio and resource planning skills. This gives me a single view of project priorities, availability of resources, timetables and dependencies. This extra visibility enables you to identify concerns early on and keep project stakeholders in the loop.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is a lot going on with this platform so it takes a little getting accustomed to.

Start with project and portfolio features that instantly improve your team’s workflow. Establish repeatable planning and reporting processes before using the more complex features.

My absolute favorite part of Planview ProjectAdvantage is the interactive Gantt chart tracking alongside the portfolio health dashboards, which let us see project timelines and potential bottlenecks at a single glance and that saves us tons of time during weekly status updates. Furthermore, the idea and demand management capabilities centralize incoming requests effortlessly, which ensures that all strategic initiatives are prioritized properly before resources get assigned.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There are really no major dislikes found so far because the core functionality is solid and dependable, although navigating through some of the administrative setup menus can take a few extra moments when configuring intricate custom workflows.

I strongly recommend taking advantage of the customizable project templates during initial setup, which really helps standardize delivery across teams and makes onboarding much smoother. Furthermore, make sure your team sets up portfolio views early on so that leadership gets immediate real-time visibility across all ongoing projects.
