What differentiates OrbusInfinity from other similar products?

Capsifi focuses on navigating the strategy to execution journey and specialises in business architecture. The platform provides "just enough" capability and features outside of this core focus, for example in process architecture and project portfolio management, to provide the end-to-end picture, without trying to be "everything to everyone".

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The ability to trace the end-to-end strategy to execution journey, including mapping customer experience architecture to other architecture concepts. These perspectives often live in separate repositories, and the ability to bring them together is powerful. The pre-configured meta-model allows consistency in architecture development, which means that repository governance is "baked in". In my opinion, this is better than having a highly customisable meta-model that can be tailored to individual preferences and can lead to confusion when resources are distributed across organisations, or key personnel move on, leaving technical debt.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Capsifi has been on a journey to improve its user interface to make it more consumable by business users and executive decision-makers. I understand this is a core focus for their product roadmap over the next year.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Invest the upfront time engaging a professional services provider to help with the product implementation, the same way you would for any other technology product.

What differentiates OrbusInfinity from other similar products?

‎OrbusInfinity differs by capturing architecture across data, business, technology, and application domains. Rather than just being an EA modeling tool, it is built equally for enterprise transformation management. Furthermore, we find it to be a highly configurable meta-model, which has enabled us to customize widely rather than be locked into a single vendor-defined ontology.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

‎OrbusInfinity allows me to customize the underlying data model for how my architectural elements relate, rather than fixed templates. Unlike other such tools, which impose fixed structures, it has given me more flexibility. It also integrates efficiently with other MS tools, providing a better connector and facilitating governance, audit tracking, and impact analysis.

What do you dislike most about this product?

‎I have faced the fact that it is not always as intuitive as it should be. It demands proper training and onboarding sessions for a smooth modeling and governance workflow.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

‎When adopting this tool, you should be clear about its needs and goals. This clarity would help guide evaluation and ensure the tool matches your priorities. Do a structured evaluation, not just a demo, to analyze it properly.
