My Favorite aspect is it turns integration from a technical headache into a more strategic and organized .

It's powerful but it can be quite expensive. It depends upon the number of APIs, cores used.

If You are larger organization planning . It is worth it. Go and use it. You can use trial/demo to explore any point studio and API manager.

Built-in governance (policies, SLA tracking) ensures compliance without extra tools. However, the learning curve is steep, and pricing leans enterprise. Best for companies needing end-to-end API control.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect is how seamlessly it connects disparate systems – I’ve built integrations between legacy databases and modern APIs in hours, not days, thanks to pre-built connectors. The visual flow designer makes complex logic (like data transformations) intuitive without coding. API reuse is game-changing – once I built an SAP connector, my team reused it across 10+ projects. The mock service (while basic) lets me test integrations before backend systems are ready. For enterprises drowning in spaghetti integrations, Anypoint brings rare clarity.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The steep learning curve frustrates me most – even simple tasks like debugging require deep platform knowledge. The CLI tool feels outdated compared to modern DevOps tools, making automation clunky. Error messages are often cryptic – "Transaction rolled back" without context wastes hours. The mock service is too basic, lacking stateful behavior or load testing. CloudHub’s cold starts add unpredictable latency (up to 15s in our tests). For the price, I expected better local development parity – Studio behaves differently than CloudHub. These gaps force us to maintain supplemental tools.

If you're considering MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, be prepared for a learning curve—it works differently than traditional integration tools. Invest in proper training, especially for API-led connectivity concepts. The platform works best for complex, large-scale integrations where you need to manage the full API lifecycle. Budget for premium support, as debugging complex flows can be challenging. Design reusable components from the start to save time later. Test performance carefully—CloudHub can have slow startup times. Consider supplementing with external tools for mocking and testing.
