What differentiates Microsoft Viva Engage from other similar products?

In contrast to stand alone collaboration tools, Viva engage easily integrate with the Microsoft Ecosystem guaranteeing minimal context switching and efficient workflows. Unlike strictly task oriented platforms like slack or trello its social media like interface which include features like storylines and communities foster a sense of community and participation. A distinct advantage over rivals is provided by features like video broadcasts and CEO/leader Q&A sessions that are designed for leadership communication.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of this product is its storylines and stories features, which allows me to share updates , insights and personal achievement in a dynamic way, fostering a vibrant workplace culture . it feels like a professional version of Instagram stories making internal communication more engaging and relatable.

What do you dislike most about this product?

it is quite difficult to integrate with the organization which are not using Microsoft 365 , also its interface to quite not easy to navigate through.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I will highly recommend the product but if we are ready to use it , Microsoft Viva Engage is a no brainer for improving communication and engagement. Start by integrating it within teams to ensure higher adoption. considering whether its features are aligning with organizational goals or not.

The problem with Viva Engage is that if we want the best features, we need to pay for Viva premium which is quite expensive. Some of the features in premium should be included in the basic license.

Best if you have premium version.
