Easy data handling with fabric

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Fabric from other similar products?

Microsoft being a globally trusted brand provides us a safe space for our data. Integration with other Microsoft provided services like Microsoft 365 or power-bi is much more convenient with Microsoft fabric. These kind of diverse extensions are not available in most of other solutions in market.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Any organization which is in implementation of Azure data platform for cloud can easily opt for Microsoft Fabric as they are pieces made of same cloth, data security issues are out of question. Data scalability is not an issue with storage and computational power supported by Azure. This removes all data scaling iussues.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Integration with other cloud services like google cloud or amazon web services is a bit difficult to handle. Microsoft did provide customizations to make it possible. But still it can be improved.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Having a team with good knowledge on data engineering may help to bring out its true potential. Though security measures are taken, data is still sensitive and its better to be safe than sorry.

Pros

  • Friendly Negotiation
  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Enables Productivity

The Future of Data

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Fabric from other similar products?

Microsoft Fabric's main differentiator is its all-in-one, "SaaS-like" approach. It unifies a wide range of data-related workloads, from data engineering to data science and business intelligence under a single, integrated platform with a unified data lake.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Microsoft Fabric is its unified, all-in-one approach. It's a game-changer to have everything from data ingestion to BI dashboards in a single platform. It completely removes the friction of having to stitch together multiple services, making the whole workflow so much more efficient and enjoyable.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The tools for things like DevOps and CI/CD are not as robust as they should be, and sometimes it feels like a work in progress, which can be frustrating when you're managing a complex project.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Based on my experience, if you're already in the Microsoft ecosystem and want to simplify your data stack, I'd highly recommend Microsoft Fabric. The way it unifies everything from data engineering to BI is a game-changer. Just be prepared for some growing pains, as it's still a new product and can feel a bit immature, especially when it comes to DevOps. Start with a small project to get a feel for it, and you'll quickly see the potential.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Trustworthy
